Who is responsible
This site is run by me, Michael Dagan. I decide what happens to the information described here. You can reach me by email: via LinkedIn
What is recorded
When your browser requests a page, the server logs your IP address, the time, the address requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and your browser's technical headers. My security provider adds the country of your IP address. From this I keep the server log, visit counts, and a record of requests blocked as attacks.
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The security service in front of it may set a cookie if it needs to check that a visitor is not an automated attack.
Why
To deliver the site, keep it secure, fix faults and see which pages are read. Nothing is used to profile you or sold. Under the GDPR, where it applies, the basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure website.
No law requires you to provide this information. Your browser sends it automatically, and without it the page cannot be delivered to you.
How long
Records of your visits containing your IP address are deleted within 14 days, except requests blocked as attacks, which are kept for up to 30 days.
Who handles it
My hosting and security providers process it on my behalf, outside Israel, including in the United States. Email you send me is handled by my email service providers. I disclose information to anyone else only if the law requires it.
Your rights
You may ask to see the information I hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. If the GDPR applies to you, you may also ask me to restrict or stop using it, or for a copy of it, and you may complain to your local data protection authority. In Israel you may complain to the Privacy Protection Authority. To find your records I need your IP address and the approximate time of your visit. I will reply within 30 days.
Changes
This page changes before what the site records does, and the date above moves with it.
